Applesauce Smoothie

This could become a favorite smoothie for the apple lovers in your family.

Serves: 2 (8 ounce) servings

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 (4-ounce) container vanilla pudding or 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt or vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons plain soy protein powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 sweet eating apple, such as McIntosh, Jonathan, or York Imperial, peeled, cored, diced, and frozen

Directions:

  1. Combine applesauce, pudding, protein powder, and vanilla extract in a blender. Blend on high speed until mixture is smooth.
  2. Add apple and blend on high speed again until smooth. Serve immediately.
Tips:
  • Substitute butterscotch or chocolate pudding for vanilla pudding.
