Ginger Punch

Drinking this hot beverage with ginger and honey might help you fight a cold or the flu.

Serves: serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 1.in (2.5.cm) piece fresh root ginger, peeled and grated
  • 11/4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp honey

Directions:

  1. Add the ginger to the water, bring to a boil, and simmer until it has reduced by half.
  2. Stir in the honey, simmer until it is dissolved, and then drink it as hot as possible, ideally just before you go to bed if you're sick.
Tips:
  • Drink this at the first sign of a cold or flu. You should sweat the bugs out overnight. Serves 1, but can be multiplied to make more.
