Garlic-Shallot Mixture

Shallots look and taste similar to onions, but are milder. Mix shallots with garlic for a potent sauce.


  • 10 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 10 shallots, peeled
  • Olive oil to cover

  1. In a food processor or blender, finely chop the garlic and shallots by pulsing the blade and scraping down the sides.
  2. Put the mixture in an airtight container and cover with oil.
  3. This mixture will last refrigerated for 10 days or so.
