Bread 'n' Bake Grouper Fillets

Lemon pepper marinade brings out all the flavor of grouper fillets.

Serves: Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds grouper fillets
  • 12-ounce bottle (1 1/2 cups) Lawry's Lemon Pepper Marinade
  • 1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs

Directions:

  1. Cut several 1/8-inch-deep slashes in top of fillets; place in shallow baking dish.
  2. Pour marinade over fillets and turn until well coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350F. Line broiler pan or cookie sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  5. Arrange fillets in single layer on cookie sheet; sprinkle with bread crumbs and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Tips:
  • The custom of serving a slice of lemon with fish dates back to the Middle Ages. People believed it could help dissolve any fish bones that were accidentally swallowed.
