Perfect Peppercorn Sauce for Chicken, Turkey or Pork Tenders
This peppercorn sauce is quick to prepare, and makes chicken, turkey or pork tenders outstanding.
Serves: Serves: 6
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt
- 1/3 cup nonfat sour cream
- 3 tablespoons grated nonfat Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons nonfat mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed
- 1 1/2 pounds low-fat chicken, turkey or pork tenders, cooked
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients except tenders and blend until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate sauce up to 1 week.
- Serve over baked, grilled, broiled or sauteed tenders.
- Sauce can also be used as vegetable dip or baked potato topping.
Tips:
- While whole-milk yogurt supplies 34 percent of the daily need for calcium, nonfat yogurt is the real calcium booster, meeting 56 percent of the recommended amount of calcium.
