Spicy Oven-Fried Potatoes

These oven-fried potatoes are a better choice than frozen French fries, and they taste great, too!

4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil or oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Scrub potatoes and cut into slices or wedges.
  3. Melt margarine. Place margarine and spices in large bowl or resealable bag. Coat potatoes with margarine mixture by stirring in bowl or shaking in bag.
  4. Place potatoes in single layer on cookie sheet. Broil potatoes about 5-10 minutes on each side until golden brown.
