Romaine Salad with Honey-Vinegar Dressing
This salad recipe partners romaine lettuce with walnuts, oranges, and balsamic vinegar, for a range of contrasting flavors.

- 3/8 cup honey
- 3/8 cup balsamic vinegar
- Pepper to taste
- 1 pound romaine lettuce, washed, dried and separated
- 3 navel oranges, peeled and segmented
- 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- Walnuts are rich in alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid that has been shown to lower the risk of heart disease. They also contain ellagic acid, a compound that reduces the risk of heart disease by reducing the formation of artery-clogging plaque.
