Jamie's Welsh Rarebit
This version of Welsh rarebit is quicker than stateside rarebit, and it's perfect for thick slices of homemade bread.
Serves: Serves 4
- 4 thick slices bread
- 8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 TB. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. mustard
- Toast bread in a toaster or under the broiler (turn it once) until browned and slightly crisp on both sides.
- Mix cheese, mayonnaise, and mustard in a bowl.
- Spread over toast, and then place under the broiler for three minutes or until hot and bubbling.
- Serve immediately.
