Spicing up spinach is a great way to make it more appealing to non-spinach lovers.
Serves: Serves 4
- One bunch fresh spinach, rinsed, with un-appetizing stem ends removed
- Pinch nutmeg
- 1⁄4 cup cream or milk
- Salt to taste
- Steam spinach over boiling water for two to three minutes until just wilted. After steaming, sprinkle with a little nutmeg, drizzle with cream, and salt to taste.
- Delicious with grilled sausages, fresh bread, and a glass of Cotes du Rhone red wine.
